I am really excited to hear First Impressions played by over 50 panists live and encourage everyone to come that can. Friday, February 10, 2012 at 01:35AM My piece First Impressions for steel band has been getting a lot of attention lately. The OU Steel Band, for whom the piece was written, recently performed it in a live broadcast on Fox 25 morning news in order to promote the OU Steel Pan Festival. First Impressions will be performed at the festival by a mass steel band consisting of over 50 panists from the University of Oklahoma and several local high school groups.
